About the role
As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the care and development of children in a nurturing and educational environment. Your primary responsibilities will involve working closely with the nursery team to ensure the well-being, safety, and happiness of the children in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Daily Care: You will actively contribute to the daily care routines of the children, including feeding, changing diapers, and promoting good hygiene practices. Your nurturing presence and attentive approach will help create a warm and supportive atmosphere within the nursery.
Supporting Learning Activities: Collaborating with the nursery team, you will assist in creating and implementing age-appropriate activities and educational experiences that promote the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of the children. By engaging in play-based learning, you will help stimulate their curiosity and encourage their growth.
Monitoring and Supervision: As a Nursery Assistant, you will maintain a vigilant eye over the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. You will actively participate in indoor and outdoor play activities, while also providing guidance and support during daily routines.
Building Relationships: You will establish positive and supportive relationships with both the children and their families, fostering open communication and trust. Requirements
To be considered for the role of Nursery Assistants you will:
- Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Patience, compassion, and the ability to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of child development and appropriate care practices.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in early childhood education or childcare are desirable.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Must be wiling to apply for or already hold a DBS on the Update Service, be able to provide relevent proffessional references.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
